AAUW SUMMER PROGRAMS UPDATE

Mon., July 22:  Rescheduled tour of Kelly G's Wild Rice Burgers made in Bovey at 620 4th St.  We will tour the factory, which is run entirely by women.  They will serve us lunch, plus dessert, at no charge.  Head count needed for the wild rice burgers…Juliet Jones needed RSVP’s by July 15.  Earlier email sent on this change from Julie Skallman on July 4.

Exploring Our Community
Sat. July 27 at 2:00 pm at the Effie Stampede Rodeo.
Carpool from Juliet Jones' 454 Trout Lake Rd, Grand Rapids, leaving at 1:00 pm.
Once the rodeo is done, explorers will have a late lunch/early dinner at Timber Wolf Inn.
RSVP to Juliet at : kcjones50@yahoo.com  by July 20, so we can make reservations for TimberWolf Inn.
Those who wish to come and go as they want, can drive individually, or whatever suits.

Additional info from Juliet Jones:   Rodeo Explorers:  Bring a bucket or pail and on our return from the Rodeo, you are welcome to pick as many raspberries as you would like from our garden.

Mon., Aug26, 10am: Join Phenologist John Latimer at the Forest History Center for a Walk in the Woods.  John will lead us through the woods and explain the edible and non-edible plants and flowers. Bring your own snacks as preferred.  NOTE: This program is totally outside, no indoor access as the Forest History Center is closed on Mondays. RSVP to Alice Stark: adstark@goldengate.net by Aug. 19.
