Public Policy Group meeting for Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 4:00 PM to 5:30 KAXE Meeting Room



1.   DOCUMENTARY MOVIE:  A PLACE AT THE TABLE on Tuesday, April, 2015  11:00 TO 1:00 AT THE LIBRARY 
This is about  food, hunger and the public policy challenges of hunger, food availability, and public health.
Place is the Grand Rapids  Public Library on Tuesday April 7, 2015    Time;  11:00 am to 1:00 pm  If you call Circles of Support Monday 4-6-15 or early Tuesday morning  4-8-15 you can have the  provided lunch.  Here is a short discussion/ comment/question  time after the movie if you care to participate .  Thus far the movies in the Circle of Support  series about changing the conversations about poverty  have been very interesting and worthwhile.   

2.  Public Policy Group Monthly Meeting on Thursday ,  April 9, 2105  4;00 to 5:50  KAXE Meeting Room  
              We will talk about the issues of and healthful nutrition.  We will share our individual choices for reading a book about food.  We will make a list of questions that we will use to talk about our individual readings and use them for the May meeting. Members are encouraged to bring articles from newspaper or magazines etc. with you for this meeting.  I have a collection of ones I have copied from the New York Times and other sources and will bring with me some of the magazines I have saved.  I will be at KAXE by 3:30 if anyone wants to do some reading before we start at 4 PM.
